Zachary Kwena is a Lead Social Scientist at Kenya Medical Research Institute based in Kisumu. He is the site-PI for the Owete study. He received his PhD training in Medical Geography at Kenyatta University in 2014. He is one of the founder members of Lake Victoria Consortium for Health Research that aims at producing and sharing knowledge about fishing communities. His interest is in HIV program evaluations and HIV prevention with a bias towards understanding sexual risks and networks.
